Touch Drawing is a simple yet profound way of drawing with your fingertips. It is used by people of all ages in a vast range of settings. Touch Drawing is a creative catalyst, healing art form and transformational tool. I encourage you to explore how you can integrate it into your life and work. What's coming up: I will be spending a whole month at Esalen Institute November 22 - December 17 as the faculty for their Work Scholar Program. We will meet 4-5 evenings a week. I will use the days for my own creative retreat. I will also offer a weekend workshop December 10-12. In the winter/spring I will be at Rowe Conference Center in Massachusetts, California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, Hollyhock in Vancouver BC and Japan. Find out about these events and more here.
I am also prodding some of my own creative projects to the forefront. I have been thinking about recording my music for years and it is time to act! I am exploring some exciting new formats for SoulCards and other images; phone apps and a more interactive format on the Ipad. We are also looking into how we can support our incredible network of Touch Drawing Facilitators through the online community.
Reflections: Summer has flown by with workshops at Omega Institute in New York and the 14th Annual Touch Drawing Gathering. This year I have sensed a great deepening. I actually hesitate to call them 'workshops' any longer. The strength of the 'field' just seems to keep growing. There is such a glow in the rooms during even a one-day workshop. I am becoming more and more comfortable weaving group vocalizing and movement into the experience. The feedback is that this really does help people to engage more deeply with Touch Drawing. I am beginning to refer to the experience as 'Sacred Expressive Arts'.
