Touch Drawing is a simple yet profound way of drawing with your fingertips. It is used by people of all ages in a vast range of settings. Touch Drawing is a creative catalyst, healing art form and transformational tool. I encourage you to explore how you can encorporate it into your life and work. What's happening these days.... I am just back from six weeks of travel that included workshops in Amsterdam and Santa Fe. Each was transformative and spirit-filled. I also had a week-long retreat in and around Chartres Cathedral in France. I sat quietly on the floor of this great sacred space and drew, sang during the quiet moments before people came each morning, and found an unexpectedly inspiring transformation of the stained glass windows through the eye of my camera. I am working with all this now to weave the drawings, windows and music into a whole. I’ll send an announcement when it is available for viewing. I seem to have crossed some kind of threshold on this trip, and will see what else unfolds.
What is coming up: I am now turning my attention to upcoming workshops in Puerto Rico, Florida, Washington State, New York & California. See the upcoming schedule here. I am also starting a second blog; a free-space where I can post reflections and photos on facilitating Touch Drawing, experiences drawing in unique settings and other creative adventures. I will begin posting there soon.
New Drawings: I had the opportunity to draw each morning for Jim Garrison's rich lectures on Wisdom and Civiization during the Wisdom University intensive in Santa Fe. The three drawings in the right column were created there. We also broke new ground for Touch Drawing. The whole group of graduate students who were drawing each afternoon, joined me in the experience of Interpretive Touch Drawing during the final lecture. Jim sat in the middle of our studio and gave an impassioned lecture bringing our culture into perspective with the history of civilzation. Rather than taking notes, everyone listened and drew. I have dreamed of sharing this experience of listening and drawing for years. This was the perfect setting. I'll post some pictures and comments on the process when I gather them from the students. And tonight I am off to the Women of Wisdom Conference where I have drawn almost every year since 1995. You can see a retospective of drawings from past WOW conferences here.

New Touch Drawing report: Reverend Donna Belt is an interfaith minister. She says "Touch Drawing has long been an amazing process in my life, as well as serving as an inspirational tool for those whom I serve. Cancer patients, those in grief or facing life transitions; all have been touched by the healing that comes to them through moving their hands across the paper and discovering what wants to be said." Her article was the most popular ever for the Chaplaincy Institute!
